2020 Monroe Board of Education Campaign

  • I ran for my hometownโ€™s Board of Education with the Boardโ€™s president, Kathy Kolupanowich, and another newcomer, Sarah Aziz. Some material, including videos, is still on our Facebook.

  • We ran because our town struggled for years to pass referendums to build new schools. We were motivated by other candidates advocating for an irresponsible reduction in education spending and aligning themselves with bigots.

  • We worked with skilled volunteers to coordinate community outreach, digital media production, fundraising efforts, and social media marketing. I spearheaded graphics, youth outreach, and managed our website.

We raised thousands from small and large donors and distributed excess campaign funds of โ‰ˆ$5,000 to educational causes including environmental science and incarcerated re-entry scholarship funds.

  • Monroe Township and Jamesburg, June-November 2020. Credit to each wonderful resident who contributed to our collective 20,372 votes and NJ Young Dems for the endorsement.
